DAN HARRISON

Dan possesses over 18 years of hospitality and private service industry experience. Dan initially studied Catering at Thanet College, gaining valuable experience working at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, followed by the British Embassy in both Washington and Paris.

Dan then spent a few years as a Private Travelling Butler to a high-profile Swiss family serving royalty and highly esteemed guests all over the world.

Prior to joining Exclusive Household Staff, Dan was the General Manager for over 6 years of a family-owned Boutique Seaside Hotel and Restaurant in Kent.

Dan manages the Temporary desk alongside one of our Recruitment Consultant’s, Emily.ย  They specialise in offering temporary high-calibre private staff.ย  The service extends to Housekeepers, Butlers, PAs, Domestic Couples, House Managers, Gardeners, for short term needs. With a focus on excellence, Dan ensures that clients receive skilled, experienced professionals to manage household needs or enhance private events, on a temporary basis.

Paul has a 25 year hospitality career spanning the Private, Luxury Hotel, and Corporate sectors, Paul brings unique and varied experience to The Exclusive Butler School.

After four years with the British Royal Family as Senior Footman, he went on to hold Head Butler and Household Manager roles with UHNW families, and at two of London’s most prestigious hotels, Claridgeโ€™s and The Dorchester. Leaving London in 2019, he was Operations Manager for an award winning boutique hotel in Sussex, before joining Saga Ltd, as their Head of Front of House, overseeing their Catering, Events and Front of House multi-site operations.ย

MARK MOYNAN, CERT ED

Mark started his career in the service industry over 33 years ago. His vocation has seen him progress from hotels to serving Royalty, as well as teaching. Mark was the programme leader for a prestigious catering college that supplied Butlers to Royalty and Embassies around the world.

Having worked for many different Royal families throughout his career, Mark is now the Company Butler for Exclusive Household Staff working in the private homes of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, Royal families and Heads of State, travelling the globe taking on various assignments.

DAVID HERLIHY

David is an experienced Travelling Butler who has spent the past 30 years working for an HNW family in Los Angeles responsible for all aspects of the familyโ€™s travel, ad-hoc and seasonal.

David is also experienced within the aviation industry, both the private and commercial sectors, and has worked overseas in Africa, the Far East, Middle East, and Europe.

The past couple of years David has been specifically working as a Butler Trainer on private yachts, Royal Palaces/Embassies, private households, as well as private aviation.

Lorraine Dale mvo

Mrs Lorraine Dale MVO represents the pinnacle of British private service.

Having served as Housekeeper to Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles III, she was entrusted with the care and operational excellence of multiple royal residences, delivering flawless standards at the highest level. Her role extended to the execution of state and ceremonial occasions, where absolute precision and discretion were essential.

Awarded the MVO for her distinguished service, Lorraine brings an uncompromising approach to excellence. At the Exclusive Butler School, she imparts the discipline, detail, and standards required to perform at the very top of the profession.

Beyond the Royal Household, Lorraine has held senior leadership roles across international luxury hospitality, including directing housekeeping operations for major hotel groups, delivering national training programmes, and managing high-performing teams across the UK and overseas. Her expertise spans large-scale operations, staff development, and the consistent delivery of exceptional guest standards.

Michelle is an experienced Head Housekeeper with over seven years of expertise in managing and overseeing housekeeping operations within a prestigious castle environment. Her success is in maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction across luxury accommodations and high-profile events. She is skilled in coordinating daily housekeeping activities, implementing efficient cleaning schedules, and ensuring all areas consistently meet the highest levels of quality and attention to detail.

She has been recognised for delivering outstanding service to owners, VIP guests, and distinguished visitors, while maintaining discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times. Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate housekeeping teams, fostering a positive and productive working environment that promotes excellence and accountability.ย

RONJA THIELMANN-PEAK

Ronja grew up in the small town of Rendsburg in northern Germany, close to two well-known yacht building shipyards and the Kiel Canal. This led to her involvement in yachting and shipyards starting in 2008, building a career in yachting and hospitality ever since. During her career Ronja has worked, amongst other positions, as operational chief stewardess both at sea and in the shipyard, attending to a variety of high-profile guests including UK and other Royal families.

More recently Ronja worked as Butler at The Savoy Hotel.ย  Her experience and expertise span from shipyard refits, to housekeeping, valet service, silver service and butler service to name a few. Ronja’s passion lies in providing the best service possible for guests and clients, and she has always enjoyed sharing the knowledge she gained over the years, passing on information, sharing experiences, and seeing junior crew learn and grow.

JOHN PETTMAN

The founder of Exclusive Butler School, John Pettman, started his career at Buckingham Palace followed by the British Embassy in Paris. John has worked at many prestigious households and has managed multiple properties and staff worldwide for high profile families.

John also set up Exclusive Household Staff, which is an established domestic staff agency providing staff worldwide and is recognised as the global market leader.

Louisa joins the Exclusive Butler School as the office administrator and PA to the Group Managing Director. She takes care of all the administration, invoicing & finance for the Butler School.ย 

Louisa previously worked for over 20 years in the financial services industry, spending the last 15 years as a Level 4 Diploma qualified Financial Adviser.ย

Finlay newnham

Finlay joins the Exclusive Butler School as part of the office administration team working alongside Louisa.ย  He deals with a wide range of administrative tasks as well as managing the School’s social media.ย

Nason joined the Exclusive Butler School after a long and prestigious career in the Civil Service.ย  His current role as Company Chauffeur makes him the friendly, welcoming face of EBS who will meet you upon your arrival in the UK.

Nason ensures that all training kit is delivered to the appropriate locations as well as dealing with airport pick-ups and transporting our Butler Students to the correct training location. Nason is always on hand to help students have a hassle-free experience and enable them to immersive themselves within our intensive training course.
