The course will consist of 4 modules that will last 4 hours each covering the below topics;

Food & Beverage Service

Service styles including Butler, Silver and Plated
Correct side to serve and clear
How to deal with cover changes in different situations
Tray service – covering the basics of different meal choices and how to prepare accordingly
The appropriate way of dealing with various types of spillages/accidents
Rules of laying a table and napkin folding
How to box a variety of tables and mitring the corners

Wine Knowledge

How to choose the correct wine
Selecting the correct glass
Opening and serving wine correctly
Storage management
Understanding the importance of temperature control and preparation
Pairing wine and food

Grooming & Valeting Skills

The correct way to dress for various occasions including the different tie knots
Hair, nails, personal hygiene and grooming
Shoe Care (Spit and Polishing Masterclass)
Pressing (How to press shirts, suits, waistcoats and jackets)
Packing and unpacking of a suitcase

Private Household Tips & Techniques

Learning the unique skillset of a butler for the different types of Private House
Liaising with the client and other household members of staff successfully
Executing a Formal Dinner Party

8-hour intensive butler training per day

We are available to work with you and provide training when you require it.

The cost of the cost would be £750 + VAT for one training day or £1500 + VAT for two training days.
